I am a cell biologist aiming to unravel the molecular mechanisms of a vital process called autophagy

I am fascinated about how cleverly our cells function. Since my early science steps I have been working with small molecule inhibitors and activators that can alter a cellular process (in my case autophagy) and potentially be used as disease treatments. This is how i understood that basic knowledge on the function of cellular pathways is really vital for the development and discovery of drugs that will be used to cure disease.
