I was born and grew up in a small town in a megadiverse country. Like many other Brazilian children, I had the opportunity to experience biodiversity in its very essence from an early age. My mother’s warning screams at the end of the day never prevented me from another day of adventures among butterflies, parrots, frogs and primates. Although my mother never stopped warning me about the jungle dangers, now I get paid for doing what I have always done: exploring nature.
