Melissa Martin

I am currently a 5th year PhD student in the Biomedical Sciences department here in the College of Medicine at Florida State. I study early brain development and how drugs of abuse such as cocaine or nicotine can alter early brain development.

I enjoy learning about the universe and am I like to pretend I'm a meteorologist at times. I enjoy going to the pool with my son and playing outside. We also love animals, watching dinosaur movies, and building things with blocks! On a rare occasion, I am able to play volleyball which is a passion of mine.
