Water engineer, environmental protection enthusiast and humanitarian activist who enjoys solving puzzles and fixing things that are broken.

I like exploring interactions between people and technology. My research has always started were traditional civil engineering work ends and looked into the operation and end use phase of infrastructure. Recently, I have been fascinated by engineering decision-making and conducted interview studies to find out what happens in people's minds when they are making infrastructure related decisions during crisis. I enjoy the feeling of discovery – the one you get when you finally realize the missing piece for your model or have an inspiring conversation with a like-minded person that takes your work to the next level. Above all, I enjoy making little micro changes in the world and bringing positive things to other people's lives through research or just through ordinary everyday actions.
