James Banal

I am a postdoctoral associate of the DOE Energy Frontier Center for Excitonics of MIT and Harvard.

I like to think about creative ideas on the most pressing problems that we have today. As a chemist by training, I always approach my research starting with the molecule and how this molecule would interact with other molecules or the environment. I also enjoy tinkering with molecules, changing their properties the way I want them to be. Right now, I am engaged in thinking of molecules as a collective rather than as individual entities. When I am not doing research, I love weighlifting and bodybuilding.
