TO INVESTIGATE THE POSSIBLE RISKS IN THE CONSUMPTION OF TOMATO FROM CRUDE OIL CONTAMINATED SOIL
Environmental toxicology is the scientific study of the effects of chemicals, biological and physical agents on human health and the environment. It is a multidisciplinary field of science that applies the knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology, biology and chemistry to study the toxic behavior of man-made and natural chemicals. Applying this principle, toxicologists can predict where chemicals will end up in the environment and in our bodies as well as determine what toxic impacts chemicals have and establish exposure limits to keep us and our environment healthy; thereby addressing constantly-changing concerns about the safety of our environment and natural resources.
