PINBOARD SUMMARY

Studying paracrine effects of cancer on MSCs and its impact on the expression of specific genes

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have various roles in tumor progression, growth, and metastasis. MSCs are recruited to tumor site and subsequently have an essential microenvironmental role in modulating tumor progression and drug sensitivity. Nevertheless, the effect of tumor microenvironment on MSC plasticity remains poorly understood.
