There already methods for quantifying spatial structure in star clusters. These have been widely used and have helped us improve our understanding of how clusters develop, how they form, and how stars form. However there are no such methods for interpreting velocity structure. Up until this point there hasn't been much velocity data available, but with the advent of Gaia we will soon have a huge volume of it. I am developing a method to study and quantify velocity structure.

This conference is of particular interest to me as it will be about Gaia, and I will have the chance to talk with observers that will be using it. this will allow me to find more about how to make my method as relevant and easy to use as possible.
