Sustainable agricultural practice for food production: application of potential PGPR

Sustainable food systems for food secured future is ideally concerned with the management of crop plants to reduce the yield loss along with the enhancement of growth and hence yield by the use of beneficiary plant growth promoting microorganisms. The study is proposed with the application of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to achieve:

  1. Biological management and induction of systemic resistance to fungal root phytopathogens in agricultural crops.
    1. Enhancement of plant growth and productivity.
    2. Abiotic (drought, salinity) stress mitigation.
