A theory of nonlinear surface acoustic waves in semiconductors in the presence of paramagnetic impurities is developed. The formation of nonlinear waves in multilayer systems is considered under conditions where two different (resonant and nonresonant) mechanisms of nonlinear wave formation are simultaneously in effect. Explicit analytical expressions for surface acoustic breathers are derived. It is shown that the interaction of a wave with conduction electrons causes weak damping of the amplitude and a change in the breather parameters.
