Abstract

Bianchi type IX dust filled universe with time dependent displacement vector in the frame work of Lyra geometry is investigated. To get the deterministic model, we have assumed that shear (σ) is proportional to expansion (θ) in the model. This leads to a = bn where a and b are metric potentials and n is a constant. To find the deterministic model in terms of cosmic time t, we have also assumed n = 2. The physical and geometrical aspects of the model are also discussed.
