Breast cancer is the second most common cancer to occur during pregnancy. Breast cancers occurring during pregnancy or within 1 year postpartum is defined as pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC). As more women postpone child bearing until later in life, it is expected that PABC will become increasingly more common. This article will review the current literature on PABC with emphasis on the presentation, work-up, as well as treatment of these cancers.
