In this paper, a detector was specifically designed for obtaining directional information of incident gamma-rays. The detector consisted of two NaI(Tl)-plastic combined scintillators, each one coupled to a PMT. We considered the heights of the photopeaks of the NaI(Tl) scintillators and Compton maxima of the plastic scintillators, observed in the recorded gamma spectra, to determine the direction of the gamma-rays. Overall, a detector with such a capability is useful in various fields, namely radiation monitoring and astronomy.
