Abstract

A study was made of neutralization and clarification of wastewater from silicate production, which exhibits buffer properties. The promise of a two-stage procedure involving the primary thickening of the dispersed phase, followed by separation of the dispersed phase and water by flotation, was elucidated. The choice of the polymeric reagent and its concentration was substantiated.
