Abstract

This paper describes an ion exchange separation method for light rare earths by gradient elution with AHIB as eluant. The yield of the individual rare earths is about 95%. This method is adaptable for separation of La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, and Y from the rare earths which were separated from fission product solutions.
