Abstract

We have measured the rates of the muon transfer reaction μp+zY→μzY+p in a target of ultra-pure gaseous hydrogen at 10 atmospheres contaminated by a small proportion of thezY element (zY stands here for argon, krypton and xenon). The results are compared with preceding experimental data and discussed in connection with those obtained for the reaction μd+zY→μzY+p.
