Abstract

To study the activity of serum angiotensin-converting enzyme (SACE) in patients with lung cancer and its changes after chemotherapy. The activity of SACEwas detected by ultraviolet method. The activity of SACE in lung cancer group was significantly lower than that in pneumonia and control groups ( P < 0. 01) . The level of SACE after chemotherapy was remarkably higher than that before chemotherapy ( P < 0. 01) .The detection of activity of SACE may be helpful to differentiate malignant from benign pulmonary diseases and to monitor prognosis in patients with lung cancer.
