Of 126 patients, 46% had diabetes mellitus which was unknown or badly diagnosed at the time of the check-up. We saw exocrine insufficiency in 67% who had not been treated at all or just insufficiently in 28% of all cases. Premature pensioners or patients who had been unemployed for a prolonged period made up 21%, and premature disability was unjustified in 7 cases.
